Stem Cell Research Funding Blockade is Featured Topic at Upcoming World Stem Cell Summit in Detroit, Oct.4-6 WASHINGTON--The injunction in the case of Sherely v. Sebelius halting federal funding of embryonic stem cell research will be the subject of intense focus at the 2010 World Stem Cell Summit at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Center, October 4-6, according to Bernard Siegel, co-chair of the Summit and executive director of the Genetics Policy Institute (GPI), the producer of the event. The Regenerate EEIG is now an official member of the European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine. The ETP Nanomedicine, an initiative led by industry and set up together with the European Commission is addressing the application of nanotechnology to achieve breakthroughs in healthcare. The next BIOSPINE Congress (3rd International Congress on Biotechnologies for Spinal Surgery) will take place in Amsterdam from September 1st to 4th 2010. The preparations are still being processed.  

The next meeting of the REGENERATE EEIG will take place in Krems on June 19th 2009.
