On December 22, 2006 the first calls for proposals for the EU´s new research programme FP7 were launched (Detailed information can be found for example on the homepage of the European Commission: http://ec.europa.eu/research/fp7/home_en.html). Based on this information the network already serves as a platform to discuss project ideas. The network is continuously developing and discussing new ideas and seeking financial support for its various activities as organised in its sections.
